Augsburger Domsingknaben congratulate Pope Benedict XVI

The Augsburger Domsingknaben and Domkapellmeister Reinhard Kammler are delighted at the election of Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger as Pope Benedict XVI. In June 2004 the Augsburger Domsingknaben had met the Cardinal and his brother Georg after a concert in the Roman Church of S. Sabina held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the German Embassy at the Holy See. After the decision taken by the Cardinals had been announced, Domkapellmeister Reinhard Kammler congratulated the former Director of the Regensburger Domspatzen, Domkapellmeister (retired) Prelate Georg Ratzinger, on the election of his brother as the new Pope, presenting him with a personal letter of congratulations to Benedict XVI. Addressing his colleague, Domkapellmeister Kammler emphasized that he personally was incredibly happy, deeply moved and delighted at the election of Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger as the new Pope.
